Exhi6il E-Reclamation Plan
Seed Mixture Species Selection
The proposed seed mixture is provided in Table E-1. When possible and
practicable, seeding operations will be conducted during these two general periods. Variations in
timing of fall and spring planting periods may be required to obtain desired vegetation cover
results. For these reasons, calendar dates for seeding and planting operations are not specified.
Seeding Method
Seed mixtures will be planted using the drill seeding method. The seedbed will be properly
prepared and evaluated for proper levels of fertility prior to commencement of planting
operations. Storm water runoff will be managed and adequate soil protection measures will be
used to ensure stability of the seedbed during the anticipated germination and establishment
period. If soil crusting is present, it has the potential to seriously impact seedling germination and
establishment and will be alleviated using disking or other appropriate methods. Sterile or benign
extenders will be used when necessary to ensure even distribution of seed across the planting site.
Soil fertility, water harvesting features and seedbed preparations will be sequenced and
performed to optimize seedling establishment and development.
Soil fertility and amendments, water harvesting features and soil preparations will be sequenced
and performed to optimize seedling establishment and development.
