RESPONSE: The diversions, sediment control facilities, and drainage crossings will be periodically inspected and maintained. The systems will be inspected each spring and after heavy rain storms to determine the need for maintenance or erosion control. Sediment will be removed at least annually and placed on the active waste rock disposal areas. Culverts have been sloped to ensure self cleaning but will be checked for clogging. Erosion will be controlled through rbgrading or reseeding as appropriate. 38. Please describe the chemical composition of the water~ontained at' the collection pond and on the tailings surface.
