To: 'Mount, Carl'
Subject: RE: DMG Permit Application
Carl,
Thank you for the information. I will have one sign prepared and posted at
the entrance to the site, next to the right-of-way. I didn't see any
requirement as to the size of the sign, other than "sufficient size" to
clearly identify the site. Let me know if you have spcific dimensions.
Jodi
-----Original Message-----
From: Mount, Carl [mailto:carl.mount~state.co.us]
Sent: Friday, February 03, 2006 2:21 PM
To: 'Jodi Villa'
Subject: RE: DMG Permit Application
Jodi,
I talked with Suzi Ericksen on this one and I will try to go through your
points one by one:
1. Is correct but you also need to do #3 (including placing a copy at
Weld Co Clerk's office and posting of sign at permit area then including the
signed affidavit with the application to DMG) prior to submittal of the
application to the DMG.
2. We will call it complete, if indeed it is.
3. See #1 above for the first part of #3.
You are correct in that, within 10 days, you publish the amendment
notice (see example notice in 112c application package) 4 times once
per week for four consecutive weeks) in a newspaper of general circulation
in the area of the mining operation.
You will also mail or serve copies of the notice to landowners
within 200' of the AFFECTED LAND BOUNDARY.
Proof of publishing and mailing will indeed be handled during the
adequacy review period.
4. DMG is required to answer the application and render a decision (if
no objections) or recommendation to the Mined Land Reclamation Board (if
objections) within 90 days from the day the application was called complete.
It is possible to get a decision in less than 90 days but, given the level
of permitting activity we are experiencing and staffing levels at the DMG,
not probable.
Carl B.
