Also included in Exhibit B is the Henderson spreadsheet that parallels DMG Task
01a (Mine Site; Removal of Chemicals Stored on Site). There are several
important changes to this FW task.
• Used Oils -Mesa Petroleum Company removes ail used oils at no
cost to Henderson (Exhibit B, contract attachment). Indeed, PDC
presently is negotiating a contract in which Mesa will purchase used
oils. The relevant portion of the present contract is included in Exhibit
B. Thus, the task cost for removal is reduced from $65,320 to $0.
• PCBs -DMG lists 6200 gallons of PCBs that require disposal.
Henderson has 8 large PCB-containing capacitors in use at the
mine. Per the information provided by RMCAT Environmental
Services, Inc. in Exhibit B, disposal costs for these capacitors is
$4810, a reduction in the total line item FW of $3532.
• Sodium Hydroxide -DMG lists 2000 gallons stored at the mine. This
material no longer is stored at the mine, reducing this cost from
$3378 to $0.
• Safety Kleen Solvents -DMG lists 30 gallons of this material stored
at the mine. Henderson has determined that this number should be
increased to 420 gallons, thus increasina that line item from $51 to
$709.30.
• Radiation Sources -Henderson possesses 25 fixed level and
density radiation gauging devices at the mine and mill (Exhibit B).
Four (4) of these sources are located at the mine and 21 at the mill.
DMG's Task 01a contained no provisions for disposal of radiological
devises. Henderson has determined that disposal of these sources
amounts to $750 per source for disposal and $250 per source for
shipping and handling; a total of $1000 per source. DMG should
modify this task to add a line item for radiation sources, increasina
the total from $0 to $4,000.
3.1.2 Mill -DMG #05a
Like the chemical materials disposal at the mine, there are several corrections in
4
