During this office's review of your
revision, several changes were noted which relate to your resource recovery
and protection plan. Before this office can recommend approval of these
changes, justification for the following changes are requested:
1. Enlargement of the block of coal within the "predicted bad ground area" as
shown on your revised map 3.4.4 .A (dated October 30, 1984) approximately
300' farther to the south as shown on Exhibit 3.4.4.A (dated January 85).
2. Inclusion of the block of coal in NINE} Sec. 20, between the No. 1 West
Submains aad the northern lease boundary of C-0117192, in the current
revised mine plan. Previous mine plane have left this block unmined.
3. Coal in Federal Lease C-0117192 north of the Sec. 17 southern boundary
line is blocked out in panels in Exhibit 3.4.4.A of your revision
application. It is the understanding of this office that all coal in this
area of the lease is to be transferred by lease assignment to Bear Coal
Company.
4. Development of the panels south of the No. 1 East Submains by the proposed
mine plan sequence will require that adequate subsidence data is available
from the subsidence test panel off the No. 1 West Submains. If this data
is not complete by the end of 1986 can the mine sequence be modified, if
necessary, to advance the No. 1 West Submains to meet production
requirements is lieu of developing the No. 1 East Submains?
