Box 161 <br />Silt, Colorado 81652 <br />RE: Eastside Mine (C-84-063) Adequacy Review of Application for Permit Renewal <br />Dear Mr. Self: <br />This Division staff has reviewed the permit renewal application for adequacy <br />and has cited the following issues. Section I of this letter will discuss <br />adequacy issues pertaining to the Permit Application itself. Section II will <br />address the current status of Permit Stipulations and Revisions approved <br />during the first permit term. <br />Section I - Permit Application Adequacy Issues <br />2.04.6 Geology Description <br />The description is concise and complete, however the Division and public <br />copies of t difficult to read and nee ~ to be replaced with more <br />legible copies. n <br />NGP-IQ R;G\e Coal luz~ou-I" Loca~~ou ~.te.r ~ s <br />2.04.7 Ground and Surface Water <br />ale .7Y <br />A statement as to the impact the mine would have on the contamination, <br />diminution, or interruption of an underground or surface source on the <br />agricultural, fish and wildlife or other legitimate use should be included in <br />this section. <br />2.05.3 Ponds, Impoundments and Diversion Ditches <br />The ponds, impoundments, and diversion ditches meet the minimum requirements <br />and all necessary geotechnical investigations are provided and appear to be <br />accurate. However, a detailed for the ditches ~st`ill needs to be <br />provided.
