<br />Natural Resource Damage Assessment ' <br />Having played a key role in many nationally prominent cases, RCG/Hagler, Bailly is recognized az ' <br />a leader in rAnducting Natural Resource Damage Assessments (NRDAs) for government trustees. ' <br />RCG/Hagler, Bailly staff economise are pioneers in the development and application of major <br />economic valuation techniques and staff scientists Gave introduced state-of-the-art methodologies for <br />identifying, and quantifying injuries to natural resources. By combining economic and scientific <br />expertise with in-depth knowledge of the U.S. Department of Interior's damage assessme;nt , <br />regulations, RCG/Hagler, Bailly provides integrated economic and scientific analyses for use in <br />defensible damage claims. Examples include: <br />^ NRDA et Clark Fork Sites, Montana <br />RCG/Hagler, Bailly is providing ease management and strategy, physicaUbiological injury <br />assessment and economic damage assessment for the State of Montana. This NRDA , <br />includes four NPL sites which comprise the largest Superfund site in the United States. <br />^ Oil Spill NRDAs ' <br />RCG/Hagler, Bailly haz been responsible for overall case management, az well az injury and <br />economic damage assessment for the Presidente Rivera oil spill in the Delaware River. <br />RCG/Hagler, Bailly also had primary responsibility for economic analysis and selected <br />scientific injury assessmene relating to the Nestucca oil spill that occurred off the coazt of <br />Washington. <br />^ NRDAs in New York ' <br />In a study for multiple trustees, RCG/Hagler, Bailly was epponstble for injury assessment <br />and economic damage assessment of various indtutrial chemical sources impacting the upper ' <br />St. Lawrence Seaway. <br />^ NRDAs is Colorado ' <br />RCG/Hagler, Bailly has conducted economic damage assessments for chemical and mining <br />sites such az the Rocky Mountain Arsenal, the Eagle Mine, the Idarado Mine and Milling <br />Complex, and the Yak TunneUCalifornia Gulch. The Eagle Mine case, the fast large scale ' <br />NRDA, is widely cited in environmental literature. <br />^ Other NRDAs <br />This work has included cases involving economic damage assessments for dioxin ' <br />contamination at Times Beach for the state of Missouri, groundwater impacts at the <br />Kemecott Copper site for the state of Utah, for mining-related damages at Bunker Hill, <br />Idaho, conducted for the Cceur d'Alene tribe and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management az ' <br />well az at other confidential sites. <br />^ Legal Assistance ' <br />RCG/Hagler, Bailly supplied many of the economic comments used by Ohio et aL and <br />Colorado et aL in successful challenges to the 1987 Department of the Interior regulations, <br />az well az assistance to multiple trustees in responding to the April 1991 Department of the ' <br />Interior proposed revised regulations. <br /> <br /> <br />
