11.3. EARTHWORK AND CULVERTS <br />12. Schedule <br />• Project timing is somewhat dependent on spring weather conditions but must be adhered to as closely as possible to avoid inundation <br />of topsoil resources. Key project dates are: <br />Pre-bid site visit May 15, 2003 <br />Online Bid Event May 28, 2003 <br />Award Bids June 5, 2003 <br />Mobilization June 9 to June 23, 2003 <br />Stan June 9, 2003 (or earlier) <br />Finish October 1, 2003 <br />• Contractor will not be allowed to schedule work on Company scheduled Holidays, without prior approval. There are 7 scheduled <br />Holidays in 2003, three of which that could potentially fall during project dates. <br />• Contractor will furnish along with bid a detailed schedule with manpower and shift durations showing how this project will be staffed <br />and completed. <br />• The successful bidder upon award of the contract and prior to commencement of work will furnish a detailed list of the plate information <br />of all equipment they will use to penorm the work. <br />• Weekly project construction meetings will be held at 10:00 AM each Wednesday for approximately 1 hour in the Henderson Mill office <br />building for the duration of the project. Changes at the time, date or frequency of the meetings will be communicated to Contractor. <br />Contractor will furnish an updated 3-week look ahead/1-week back schedule for each meeting with explanations for any variance from the <br />previous week's schedule. The 3-week look ahead should include plans and requirements for manpower, equipment, materials, and <br />Company support. <br />General This section applies to Lots 1, 2, and 3, all line items <br />13. Company Supplied Items <br />13.1. Access to telephone/fax machine in the Main Mill ONices. <br />13.2. First shift site-specific safety training. Training to be pre-arranged and scheduled with Engineer. <br />13.3. One Mill radio for contractor project superintendent. <br />13.4. Approved drawings as needed to pertonn the work. <br />14. Contractor Supplied Items <br />14.1. Site mobilization and demobilization <br />14.2. All supervision, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work except for items specifically listed under Company <br />Supplied Items. <br />14.3. Fire extinguishers as needed. <br />14.4. All necessary PPE, except for items specifically listed in Company Supplied Items. This will include, but is not necessarily limited to, <br />respirators, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, hardhats, etc. <br />14.5. Attendance of the Contractor representative or his delegate at all weekly project meetings. <br />14.6. Three week look ahead and one back project schedules weekly. <br />14.7. Contractor leadership personnel attendance at a 'h day partnering session with Henderson management prior to commencement of <br />project. <br />15. Safety <br />15.1. All Contractor personnel must be MSHA cenified for working on mine property. <br />15.2. In addition to their MSHA certification, all Contractor personnel must complete the Henderson Mill first shift walk around specific <br />training prior to stoning work. <br />15.3. All Contractor personnel will become familiar with and adhere to all Henderson Mill and MSHA safety rules and regulations. <br />15.4. Minimum required PPE for all personnel working at the Henderson Mill is hardhat, steel-toed shoes, and safety glasses. Specific <br />tasks and conditions may require other items of PPE such as respirators, hearing protection, gloves, face shields, etc. <br />15.5. Contractor will be required to sign into and out of the property daily when work is being performed. <br />15.6. Contractor must supply and keep in working condition fire eMinguishers on all pieces of equipment and as needed around the work <br />area. <br />15.7. Must penonn pre-operational checks on all equipment and keep records of those as rules apply. <br />15.6. Contractor will comply with all traffic rules. <br />Page 4 <br />
