5. Area D, Phase I -Gravel Pit Mining, Processing, and MSHA Berming <br />5.1. Gravel Pit-MinindRoad Base Processin0 <br />5.1.1. Mine and process 20,000 cy of Class 5 road base <br />NOTE: Reference URS gravel pit report to assist with estimating mining/processing costs <br />5.1.2. Provide adequate road signage of heavy equipment activity along County Road 3 <br />5.1.3. Pedonn repairs to County Road 3 as necessary from hauling activities <br />5.1.4. Perform repairs to roads within gravel pit to ensure road conditions are same or better than existing prior to start of Work <br />5.1.5. This section applies Lots 1 and 3. Cost for this section should be included in line item named: "Area D" <br />5.2. MSHA Bermino- Haul Road from Gravel Pit to North Stockoile (-8 OOOLFI <br />5.2.1. Transport 2,700 LF (10 h. sections) of Type 4 concrete barriers from project site 3 miles south of Hwy. 9 and Ute Pass <br />Road NOTE: Company will load barriers, Project Manager will coordinate schedule <br />5.2.2. Position concrete barriers along haul road (minimum 2 tt. spacing) as directed by Project Manager <br />5.2.3. Cut and grade 3,000 feet of existing access road to provide a 17'6" wide roadway and 3 h. high MSHA berm on downhill <br />side of roadway <br />5.2.3.1. Process, haul, and install approximately 200 cy of road-base as needed <br />5.2.4. Provide adequate MSHA berming for remaining 3,500 ft of haul road <br />5.2.5. This section applies Lots 1 and 3. Cost for this section should be included in line item named: "Area D" <br />6. Haul topsoil from Soil Piles A and B to North Stockpile (Vyork Area A). Bid costs per cy. <br />6.1. This section applies Lots 1 and 3. Cost for this section should be included in line Item named: 'Topsoil A". Actual <br />quantities may vary. <br />7. Haul topsoil from Soil Piles E to South Stockpile (Work Area C). Bld costs per cy. <br />7.1. This section applies only to Lot 3. Cost for this section should be included in line item named: "Topsoil B". Actual <br />quantities may vary. <br />8. Install additional Tensor 8X1200 geogrid on prepared foundation (Work Area A or C) as directed by Project Manager during the Work. Bid <br />costs per sy. <br />8.1.1. This section applies Lots 1 and 3. Cost for this section should be included In line item named: "Geogrid". <br />8.1.2. 1,800 sq. yard of geo-grid is estimated to be the minimum quantity to be installed. Depending on the ground <br />conditions, quantity may increase up to 5,000. <br />9. Contingency Items <br />9.1. Construct special drainage mats in wet areas, including gravel, geotextile envelopes, and ADS Drain piping. One such area <br />expected for Phase I construction. Bid costs per d. <br />9.1.1. This section applies Lots 1 and 3. Cost for this section should be included in line item named: "Wet crossings". <br />9.2. Construct gravel under-drains at South Stockpile Location per drawings (Work Area C). Bid costs per foot. <br />9.2.1. This section applies only to Lot 3. Cost for this section should be included in line item named: "Gravel <br />Underdrains". <br />10. WORK NOT INCLUDED <br />10.1. Survey control benchmarks referenced to the State coordinate grid have been established by the Owner. <br />10.2. Seed, mulch, and fertilize disturbed areas. <br />10.3.
