Western Fuels Comments to DRMS 09 February 2007 Reclamation Bonding
Calculations.
Task 001
1. No further comment
Task 002
1. No further comment
Task 002b
1. No further comment
Task 003
1. No further comment
Task 004
1. No further comment
Task 005
1. No further comment
Task 006
1. In the subsection Task #01, I believe you should use just the drill operating
hours of 61.88 hrs to base the 25% dozer support time. 25% of 61.88 hours is
15.47 hrs at 197.10 $/hr. The dozer is only needed to prepare an existing bench
for drilling.
2. In the subsection Task#09, I don't believe a water truck is needed or would even
be effective in the task of controlling dust pre or prior to the motor grader
scarifying the ground for topsoil lay down. Water would not penetrate the pre-
scarified compacted earth enough to control dust and the post scarified ground
would be too rough to drive over and would dry out anyway if sidebar sprayers
were used. I recommend that the cost of the support water truck be removed
from subsection Task #09
3. In subsection Task #030, the acreage has changes and so has the hours and
thus the cost. I agree with your methodology. Just be sure to check that the
hours from the real Task #30 follows through.
4. Subsection Task #031, Same comment as Task #030 above, the acreage have
changed.
F:\Eng\DATA\WP\revisions\TR54.wpd Pag03 Of t5
