Permit #: ' -a'3-033 Confidental?:
Class: Type-Seq.. ~ RECEIVEC
From: To:Q
Doc. Name: AUG 2 3.21?
Doc. Date (if no ate stamp):
Division ntMlnafaisand Geology
Exhibit D MINING PLAN
Unless specifically discussed below the methods described in
the 198 and 1985 mining plans will remain unchanged. Existing
sloping, grading and shaping plans will apply to the new area
since they are similar to the area now in the permit. The
exception to the plan is the north wall area that will be sloped
3h to lv as discussed in the following text.
The expansion of the site shown on the maps accomplishes two
things; 1, it increases the reserves in the mine and 2, allows us
to develop the site so that it has a more natural appearance.
Under the existing plan a "highwall" will be left on the north
and east sides of the site that will be visible from offsite.
Under the new plan the north "highwall" will be removed and
leaving a slope that blends with the hillside above the site.
The Existing Terrain view shown on page 13 shows approximately
how the site looks now. Note the prevalent rock face being
created by mining at this time. The Reclamation Terrain view
shown on page 22 shows how the site will look when reclamation is
complete and the mined slope blends with existing slopes higher
on the hill. The exception is in the west area where the slope
rises nearly vertical to allow for construction of the depressed
area.
The following amendments to the mining plan are numbered
sequentially to follow those submitted in 1985.
Amendment # 4 - ACREAGE INCREASE
This section describes the changes in area made to the
permit. In 1997 an additional 600 plus acres was purchased by
the Albert R & Mary Jane Frei Irrevocable Trust adjoining the
existing mine on the north. This amendment adds 166.19 acres to
the permit area as shown on the maps. The acreage shown on the
Mining and Reclamation Timetables have been corrected based on a
current survey. Stage A has been incorporated into Stage S since
it is no longer used and has been reclaimed.
3 (Revised 8/19/02)
