during and after wnstruction have not been shown to be problematic.
LII2C': See UERC.
SW-5: Monitoring of SW-5 should continue as rewired.
= is ma/i: suirarp =
SW-1, 2': Sites SW-1 aryl SW-2 should be dropped fran the monitoring program as no
mining impacts can reasonably be anticipated at either of these locations.
Full suite analyses of these sites were condlrc~.ed and included Qtloride
= 1 ma/l; SU1Tate = Sf3 m4/l. SW-2 auoriae = « m4/l; SUlydLe = 4~/ Ilq/1
(copies enclosed). No minims has occurred to date which would effect
either of these sites and a sufficient database exists to define pre-
ntining conditions at these locations.
SW-4': SW-4 should be dropped from the monitoring network as no mine impacts can
reasonably be expected to develop in this warasshed. A sufficient water
quality database exists to charactasize the pre-mining oorditions at this
location. Additional data for c~axative purposes can be obtained if
nenessaTy in the future.
SW-7, 8': Stations SW-7 and SW-8 are located in ephemeral channels subject to
sporadic flow events. Zese stations apparently had crest gage
installations at one time but the crest gages are currently washed out.
Monitoring efforts at these sites should either be intensified to provide
meaningful data in the event the Fast mine becotres active again or
eliminated as the current monitoring is of little value.
SW-102: Station SW-10 monitors flows just belay the headgate of the Terror Ditch.
No mining which has occurred to date can reasonably be anticipated to
affect the flaws at this location. This site lies off the permit area aryl
receives the majority of its flow from the Overland Reservoir via the Fast
Fork of Terror Creek. A sufficient database exists to define pre-mining
conditions at this site. No further monitoring should be required here
until such time as the Fast mine becanes active. Chloride and Sulfate
SW-12': SW-12 monitors irrigation water conveyed through the Roberts Stucker
Ditch. Water has been conveyed through West Roatcap Creek to this
location since 1987. No adverse i~acts to water quantity have become
evident since the point of diversion from the Overland Ditch was changed
to West Roatcap GYeeJc. No ow~unents or concerns from water right owners
have been voiced with regard to the quantity of water being delivered via
the new route. thloride and Sulfate analyses were conducted at this
location but were omitted from the AHR (copies enclosedl. Further
monitorirg of this location should be discontinued after consultation with
the affected water users.
16
