S 7-9~: Spring 7-9 is located outside the area of any potential mine impacts given
mine development to date. Zhis site was observed July (dry) and A!~;,~t
(dry) 1992. No water quality sample was obtained as no flow was observed.
No further monitori.rg efforts were expended at this spring as it was
presumed conditions remained largely unchanged with no measurable flows
oaw.-ring throughout the remainder of the year. Ztte flew magnitudes
historically associated with this feature are non-measurable in all but
two inST.ances and further monitoring of a feature this insignificant seems
inappropriate aryl unary.
S 7-10z: Spring 7-10 is located outside the area of any potential mine impacts
given mine development to date. This site was flowing in July (0.5 gpm)
aryl August (rro measurable flow) 1992. No water quality sample was
obtained as a sufficient database Pxists to characterize pre-mini.,~r water
quality at this site. The flow maasurement for July 10.0011 cfsl was
omitted frwn the AHR. No further monitoring efforts were expended at this
spring as it was presumed conditions remained largely unchanged with no
mPaa„rable flows oaurring thrax~rout the remairxier of the year.
S 8-5Z: Spring 8-5 is located outsirdr~e~ t~he area of any potential mine impacts given
mine development to date. 1111) site was observed in July (0.5 gpm) aryl
August (no measurable flow) 1992. No water quality sample was obtains3 as
a sufficient database exists to characterize pre-mining water quality at
this site. No further monitoring efforts were expesided at this spring as
it was prestaned conditions remained largely unchanged with no measurable
flows occurring throughout the remainder of the year aryl nro mining with
the potential to create impacts at this site has occurred.
BORF~,FB
B-1~: All of the "B" series wells were installed and monitored to assess and
ensure slope stability in and around the Fast Mine facilities area. Well
B-1 has been dry since it was installed in 1982. Continued monthly
monitoring of this well does not produce data of value aryl should be
disoorrtinued. Well B-1 was measured and drv in December. 1992. This data
was omitted from the AHR.
B-2': Well B-2 exhibits measurable water levels only when runoff through the
diversion channel in which it is installed is occurring. Invariably, when
the channel dries out, the well dries out as well. Continued monitoring
of this well does not provide useful information and should be
discontinued. Well B-2 was measured and drv in December. 1992. This data
was omitted from the AHR.
B-3': Well B-3 has been dry since its casing failed in the Spring of 1988.
Continued monthly monitoring of this well does not produce data of value
and should be discontinued. Well B-3 was measured aryl dry in December.
1992. This data was omitted from the AHR.
B-4: Well B-4 provides consistent water level mPac1„-wmPnts and monitoring of
this site should be continued although sufficient data has been collected
to warrant less frequent monitoring.
B-5': Well B-5 has been dry since it was installed in 1982. Continued monthly
11
