Henderson 2000—PC3 Overod Surface Conveyor •
Technical Revision #7 to Permit M-77-342 Page 4
• The south road segment (Figure 3) is located at station 80+00 adjacent to the CON-9 wetland.
This road segment is 250 feet long and approximately 50 feet in width. For purposes of the
affected land exchange, an affected width of 100 feet is used to calculate a total affected acreage
of 0.57 acre. This segment, as with other roads, was constructed with a bulldozer. Topsoil was
salvaged in accordance with the amendment.
The total acreage of disturbance from these two road segments is 1.43 acres.
3.1.1 Reclamation of Road Segments
The south road segment will be reclaimed following the construction season in 1999.
Reclamation will be in the same manner and with the same seed mixes as agreed to by CMC in
Section 3.8 of the amendment and in Number 15 of the amendment response letter dated April 6,
1998 from Mr. Bryce Romig (CMC) to Mr. Allen Sorenson (DMG). In summary, this segment
will be ripped, regraded/recontoured, topsoiled, protected from erosion by placement of
• appropriately designed and spaced erosion control structures, and mulched and seeded using the
mix approved by the U.S. Forest Service and DMG in the amendment.
The north road segment will be reclaimed in similar manner as the south segment. However,
Henderson wishes to utilize this short segment for conveyor maintenance access until such time
as it no longer is needed. Accordingly, this segment will be included in those areas to be
reclaimed during final mill site closure.
3.1.2 Affected Land Exchange
Under the provisions of the DMG exchange of affected lands policy (Appendix B), Henderson is
proposing to delete 2.0 acres of undisturbed lands from the existing permitted affected land area
for the Henderson Mine and Mill. This deletion is in exchange for adding the 1.43 acres of
temporary access road segments into those affected lands added to the Henderson permit by the
amendment approved on April 17, 1998. The location of this acreage is mapped in Figure 4.
Based upon the DMG policy protocol, the following conditions exist:
N:/255/TR07/IR7.doc
