Mr. Carl B. Mount
November 7, 1997
page 2
Knight Piesold and M&M understand that the Division of Minerals and Geology has not
determined whether the change in disturbance will require a Technical Revision or
Amendment. We expect that the change will be considered a Technical Revision because
the permit is not changing and the original permit language allowed up to 20 acres of
disturbance. This request is for removing a stipulation based on a lack of funds from the
original owner and not a major change in the permit conditions.
M&M respectively submits this change to Permit M-83-052. We look forward to hearing
from DMG regarding this matter and appreciate your assistance in permitting M&M's
pilot scale process. If you require any additional information regarding this revision,
please contact Mike Daly at Elkhead Joint Venture (210-475-8021) or Richard Weber at
Knight Piesold (702-738-2265).
Since ,,
ichael J. Collins
President
