(1) All available aerial photo coverage that I could obtain for the West Elk Mine. Some photos are missing from the file. The Yile has "sticky notes" attached stating that TDG has the photos. As we discussed, I called Tom Gillis and he has no recollection of ever having or using these photographs. There are some other photographs for the Bear and Bowie Mines that may be helpful to you. I can direct you to these. I didn't specifically see Muffler Rock on any of these other photos. (2) The subject property which encompasses the ]andsliding (including Muffler Rock), the cabin, and damaged roads is as follows: Gunnison County: Township 13 South, Range 90 West, Sections 17, l9, 20 Delta County: Township 13 South, range 9l West, Sections 23, 24, 25 Portions of Sections 24 and 25 (Township 13 South, Range 91 West) are in both Delta and Gunnison Counties. It appears that the Muffler Rock landslide area is in both counties. To determine the "official" County tanduse designation for the subject property, I called the Planning Directors for both Delta and Gunnison Counties, Ms. Barbara Ball and Ms. Joanne Williams, respectively. In Delta County there are no zoning requirements or tanduse designations. However, there are special zoning districts, but none of the Mautz property is located in these areas.
