Carroll of weld County regarding adequacy review,
Amendment No. 1, Geisert Pit, referenced file number.
Under GENERAL:
1. We plan to be gresent at the December 19, 1988 hearing.
Please notify us of the time.
2. & 3. These were handled by L. Curry of the Weld County
Planning Department. (Copies attached)
4. Annual report was submitted on November 20, 1988, by Ken
Schrader of Weld County. (Copy attached)
5. The berms were installed and performed satisfactorily ;
however, the County no longer uses salt and these berms and
salt/sand stockpiles have been removed for some time now.
Under EXHIBIT D MINE PLAN:
6. If the existing pond in the southwest corner of the property
is left as is, approximately 150,000 tons of gravel would be
lost. Further, it is planned that the dewatering for the entire
mining operation would be accomplished from a sump basin at
this location. Therefore we do not agree with leaving this
existing pond.
