This small area exemption was approved
by the CMLRD on October 21, 1987 with MR-87-23.
All seven areas listed above are shown on Map 9A Hydrologic Features/Small
Area Exemptions. The areas qualify as small area exemptions by meeting the
requirements of Rule 4.05.2(3)(a)(b) since all seven areas are situated in
locations which. prevents drainage from these areas from reaching approved
sedimentation ponds. All seven sites treat drainage runoff by one or more
of the following; good vegetation, silt fences, shallow sloped, rock check
dams and are insignificant in acreage when compared to the total disturbed
surface area of Mines 1, 2, and Eckman Park and if sampled would meet the
settleable solids requirements of NPDES permit.

MR 89-40 Permit Renewal 780-208-3 Revised 06/28/89
