cover the 60.9 acres with 1.5 feet of soil. This plan assumes that 1.5 feet of soil will be placed on
all areas and the bond accounts for this cost. The practices for shelf construction, lake retention,
seed mixes, tree(shrub thickets, etc. are identical to that described in the primary reclamation
plan. The plan map for this reclamation scenario is shown in Exhibit F-2. As is seen from this
map, two small lakes will be retained, totaling 15.0 acres and the remaining area outside the lake
shelf areas will be restored to rangeland using the seed mix modified with Colorado Division of
Wildlife recommendations. Care will be taken during the reclamation plan to ensure that the
grade of the rangeland is similar to pre-mining grade and that no ponding areas exist within the
rangeland which will result in salt buildup. The overall plan will be good for grazing and
wildlife habitat. The bonding costs for this scenario are included in Exhibit L.
Mid Western Farms Resources Pit Amendment 3/98
'+6.z
