FRUITA t1INE <br />717.15 Excess Earth and Rock <br />No excess earth and rock is presently removed from the mine <br />refuse disposal site will be proposed for future use. <br />717.17 Protection of the Hydrologic System <br />A <br />NPDES permit #CO-0036609 expires on December 31, 1980. Application <br />for renewal was made in June 1980. Monitoring reports, stating <br />"No Discharge", are submitted quarterly. <br />The mine plan approved in September 1979 states that the impact of <br />mining on the groundwater in the area is negligible. Amore <br />comprehensive reference to existing groundwater characteristics <br />will be necessary under a final State and/or OSM program. <br />717.20 Topsoil Handling and Revegetation <br />According to the Technical Revision, all available topsoil was <br />removed from the yard expansion. The topsoil piles are vegetated, <br />except for the most recent stockpile.
