General Comments
Several problems related to the sediment control system were noted during the
inspection. These are discussed in more detail in following sections.
The new coal silo is nearly complete. Grading and culvert installation to
insure proper functioning of MB #3 should be conducted soon. Coal stored
below the silo should be pulled back to within the limits of the emergency
coal stockpile as shown on Drawing No. C-005.
A small strip was not grubbed of vegetation and topsoil salvaged in the
expanded laydown area. Gob material has been stockpiled immediately adjacent
to this undisturbed strip, thus creating a potential for mixing and damage. A
buffer zone between the two areas must either be created and maintained or the
small area should be properly grubbed and stripped.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
