(`I ~ y ~ d ~' 9 <br />Since the inseption of the <br />pit our rural community has had <br />This neighborhood has withstood <br />bad bridges, traffic accidents, <br />trucks, dust problems, odor pro' <br />mining reclaimation. <br />Distel Farm,CandM gravel <br />to withstand numerous problems. <br />14 years of bad roads, <br />near accidents, speeding <br />~lems, and questionable <br />Dust Problems; <br />1) Roofs are getting ruined by the fugitive dust. <br />2) Liv~astock have been lost due to excessive dust. <br />3) Hay crops are being devalued due to the blowing dust. <br />4) Breathing of silica sand has presented respiratory <br />problems with surrounding people. <br />Odor Problems; <br />1) Odor when asphalt plant is started in AM. <br />2) Odor problem in the winter months when all the trucks <br />and equipment are started, creating a large cloud of smoke. <br />During downslope conditions it settles at nearoy properties. <br />v;iidiif`.e; <br />1) ~r.e dewatering ,gas :tilled well over 1C0 bin.-12in. <br />cottonwood trees off the permitted area. <br />2) Dewa.tering is being done with buried asphalt and <br />concrete submersed around the dewatering pumps, <br />which discharge directly to the St. Vrain river. <br />3) Wildlife living in the area are slowly losing there habitat. <br />Property Values; <br />1) CandM mining operation has hurt our property values. <br />People do not like negative impact areas. I have had <br />this studied and with the plant as our neighbor our <br />property values have shown well below market growth. <br />
