Five acres of the additional area lies al ng the
western boundary of the property and 7 acres lies bet Ben the
two separate excavations that presently exist on the
property. Mining of the additional area will eventua ly
produce one common excavation covering approximately 27 acres
of the subject property.
Excavation of the remaining reserves will be seq enced
so as to maintain two separate excavated areas for as long as
possible; one area to be maintained as the active min ng
area, and one area to be maintained as an inactive ar a
available as a recharge basin. This will allow both ctive.
mining and recharge activities to coexist on the subj ct
property for the majority of the remaining mine life. At
such time as it becomes necessary to combine the two eparate
areas into one common excavation; compacted, earthen ikes
will be installed to contain and isolate recharge are s from
active excavation areas.
(e,iii) Each phase of the mining operation will be ca[~ried
out a follows:
a. topsoil salvage/stockpiling
b. excavation area
1. activc
- sale of pit run material
- crushing/screening
