..e
ESPEY, HUSTON &ASSOCIATES, INC.
4y POST MSIING LAND US.iS
. The pos -mining land uses will be the same as pre-mining land uses (see
Chapter D). The primary post-mining land use will be range for livestock grazing
with a secondary use for wildlife 'ioabitat. Successful implementation of the
reclamation plan addressed in this chapter and the Fish and Wildlife Protection Plan
will achieve these post-mining land uses. These uses are compatible with the
surrounding area (zoned agricultural with only native haq crops harvested adjacent
to the mine plan area and lease azea). There are no local land use plans for the mine
plan area and lease azea (see chapter D).
Northern Coal Company has contacted both Rio Blanco and Moffat
counties and they indicated that to date no comments had been
received on the mine plan by the legal or equitable owners of
record. To our knowledge, the Office of Surface Mining and the
State Mined Land Reclamation Division have received no com-
ments. If any comments are receivefl from the owners, Northern
will submit them as a pazt of the application as required.
M -~ i
