June 28, 1993
Enron Coai Co
1400 Smith St
Houston, TX
Rienau #2, Meeker Area Mines
RE: Administrative Review
Ten Day Notice 93-02-244-01, TV-1, is being issued to the State of Colorado
for the operator's failure t~ follow the approved post mining land use.
Following an administrative review of the correspondence of March 3, 1993
from the Albuquerque Field Office Director to Steve Renner, the Coal Program
Supervisor of the Colorado Division of Mines and Geology regarding the Phase II
Bond Release application, it was noted that the Colorado Division of Mines and
Geology has not responded to the comment made by the Albuquerque Field
Office about the change in land use from grazing\wildlife to
recreational\residential. The land use change was needed for the office pad and
parking lot that was left on the #1 mine complex. The Albuquerque Field Office
has not received any .information from the Division of Mines and Geology
indicating that a change has been proposed by the operator or the area in
question has been reclaimed to be compatible with the proposed\approved
reclaimed land use.
