Mr. Joe Dudash, CDMG
6/23/95 -page 2
we have experienced for the past two weeks continue, we should be able to operate equipment
safely on the slide area by mid to late July. Data collection and evaluation and TR develop-
ment is estimated to take another 4-5 weeks once equipment is mobilized. Then, we estimate
it will take at least 30 days to complete the remediation work, although that is difficult to esti-
mate until the evaluation is completed and the remediation plan is approved.
Should the ground drying assumptions stated above prove to be overly optimistic or if we
experience a return to the wet climatic conditions, an additional time extension would be nec-
essary. Trapper is also concerned that if evaluation of the landslide area indicates remediation
efforts beyond those reasonably envisioned at iitis tune a furtiJer time extension may also be
required.
Trapper continues to believe that no violation occurred and we intend to pursue our rights to
contest the NOV. You can be assured, however, that we intend to remediate the slide in an
appropriate manner even if we succeed in having the NOV vacated.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
~~~,
Forrest V.
