r- '
of the utmost importance to prevent forfeiture and possibly
additional fines. To assist you in understanding exactly what is
expected with regard to the maintenance the Division is going to
meet with Greg Lewicki who as we understand it is going to be
overseeing the maintenance activities from this point on. We will
be meeting Mr. Lewicki on August 30 or 31, 1991 at the mine site to
go over the specifics of the Board Order and the NOV which will
include the following items.
1. All disturbed area drainage shall be directed into sedimentation
ponds. The specific areas of concern are the drainage areas known
as 15-P2 and 15-P1. This includes the diversions 15-D1, 15-D2 and
15-D3 and associated culverts.
2. All sedimentation ponds should be brought up to design
specifications as outlined in rule 4.05. This includes ponds 15-
P20, 15-P8, 15-P1, 15-P2, 15-P10 which are associated with the
above drainage areas.
3. Filling in rills and gullies which have yet to be repaired and
will be flagged by the Division during the mine site visit.
This list includes all areas associated with the order and the NOV.
Additional specific items may be added to this list after the site
visit and all items will need to be maintained up to design
standards after they are repaired.
In addition to this maintenance activity, the Board Order required
that TBM submit a revision to the permit to change the post-mining
land use from it's current designation of rangeland to residential
on the western half of sections 15 and 22. This must be submitted
by August 23, 1991.
The Division would like to take this opportunity to thank you for
making the effort to attend the last Board Meeting. we apologize
for the scheduling problems that caused the meeting to end before
your arrival. However, i think a lot was accomplished by meeting
with Steve Renner, Dave Berry and myself. If you have any questions
or need additional information please contact Dave Berry or me.
~~ely, \
~~~~ 1~~~
Anthony J.
