INTRODQCTION <br />Between July 7 and July 9 of 1992, the areas that had <br />been disturbed and reclaimed as part of the Meeker Area Mine <br />germit (Permit C-81-032) were visited and sampled in <br />compliance with Rules 2.04.10 and 4.15. The disturbed areas <br />are located within Sections 20, 21, and 29 of T 2 N, R 93 W <br />of Rio Blanco County. Sampling was performed in order to <br />determine if the vegetation of all or parts of the reclaimed <br />mine had progressed far enough to qualify for Phase II bond <br />release. Sampling was carried out by Matthew S. Hayes of <br />Hayes Environmental Services. <br />1~ METHODS <br />Reclamation Standard: <br />As part of a Phase II bond release request, the <br />operator must demonstrate that the reclaimed mine areas <br />qualify for the terms of final bond release for total <br />vegetative cover. No demonstration involving herbaceous <br />production, woody plant density, or species diversity is <br />required.
