Damrau <br />RE: Mine p3 Problems, Recommendations and DATE: October 22, 1981 <br />Compliance Dates Addressed in October <br />13, 1981 State Inspection Report <br /> <br />Ge have recently received Bob Liddle's report on his inspection of Mine 3 <br />conducted September 23. The report addresses several problems and establishes <br />deadlines by which those problems are to be abated. The following activities are to <br />take place prior to December 1, 1981. <br />1) Sediment withln the small pond northwest of the permanent over- <br />h.zaa=-ii< will be removed. Some maintenance of the ponds embankment <br />and spillway is required. <br />2) A ditch will be constructed between Lhe small pond north of the <br />topsoil etockpilea in Section 13 and the water retention/roof sock <br />disposal pit. <br />3) Sediment within the small pond in 2 above will be removed. <br />4) Contour furrows will be established on the north slope of the <br />tipple area adjacent to Fish Creek, between the railroad track on the <br />west and the sedimentation pond on the east. <br />Although December 1, 1981 is the states deadline for this activity, we are <br />probably more highly restricted by the weather.
