.~ <br />comparison of the reclaimed pasture with the reference pasture. By <br />this I mean that a portion of an adjacent or nearby pasture which <br />corresponds exactly to the area of the reclaimed pasture could be <br />designated as a reference area and the total harvest of both could <br />be compared by presenting certified scale tickets of the yields. <br />A third way to demonstrate success would be to compare the yield of <br />the reclaimed area to a pastureland/cropland reference area in <br />tons/acre or bushels/acre as demonstrated by certified scale weigh <br />tickets. In other words the reclaimed area and the reference area <br />would not have to be exactly the same size but their exact <br />dimensions and yield data would be required in order to make the <br />comparison. <br />The operator will need to designate which area will be used as a <br />reference area and have this area approved by the Division. In the <br />event that the operator decides to rotate crops on either the <br />reclaimed or reference area both will have to be planted to the <br />same crop in any bond release year so that direct comparisons can <br />be made. <br />This concludes my review of this second submittal.
