.~
comparison of the reclaimed pasture with the reference pasture. By
this I mean that a portion of an adjacent or nearby pasture which
corresponds exactly to the area of the reclaimed pasture could be
designated as a reference area and the total harvest of both could
be compared by presenting certified scale tickets of the yields.
A third way to demonstrate success would be to compare the yield of
the reclaimed area to a pastureland/cropland reference area in
tons/acre or bushels/acre as demonstrated by certified scale weigh
tickets. In other words the reclaimed area and the reference area
would not have to be exactly the same size but their exact
dimensions and yield data would be required in order to make the
comparison.
The operator will need to designate which area will be used as a
reference area and have this area approved by the Division. In the
event that the operator decides to rotate crops on either the
reclaimed or reference area both will have to be planted to the
same crop in any bond release year so that direct comparisons can
be made.
This concludes my review of this second submittal.
