MDI will replace topsoil to a depth of 6 to 8 inches on any affected area that will be
reclaimed.
6. Please provide dimensions of all areas of the site to be reclaimed and provide
a topsoil balance to indicate if the volume currently stockpiled on site is enough
to replace the minimum 6 inch depth over these areas. If a shortage is indicated,
please indicate how MDI will make up for the shortage.
The approximate volume of the three topsoil stockpiles is 10,800 ft'. The following
areas will be reclaimed to a depth of 6 to 8 inches:
1. Two ore storage areas, approximately 20 feet in diameter.
2. Diversion ditches, approximately 300 feet in length and 10 feet wide.
3. Area around mill, approximately 50 feet by 100 feet.
4. 65 level adit, approximately 20 feet by 20 feet.
The total volume of topsoil necessary to reclaim the above areas 6 to 8 inches is about
4518 ft3. As you can see there is enough topsoil to cover the reclaimed areas to the
required minimum depth with plenty to spare.
Exhibit E
Mans
1. Please revise the application maps to indicate the draining 175 level adit, the
pre-existing mine shaft that is located below and across Gaines's Gulch from the
175 level adit, and any other structures within the permit boundary or within 200
feet of the permit boundary.
The revised application maps are included.
2. Please indicate, on the mine plan map, the location of the water monitoring
points of compliance with their respective labels, so that the sites can be easily
identified.
Groundwater points of compliance have been included on the mine plan map.
