Pages in the permit application have been updated to reflect the changes as well.
Two copies of all modified materials are included in this package. Additionally some
information not addressed in the PAR has been added to the maps. A 14" natural gas main was
not shown in our surveys. This line has been added to the maps. Also a notice has been sent to
the gas company as part of the notification process. All return receipts for adjacent landowners
have been included in this package. The remaining adequacy issues are discussed below.
1.) Map C-1 has been modified to include the landowner names. Additionally, Exhibit V has
been modified to remove a few landowners that should not have been included. Also text
has been added to describe the use of the parcel number identification.
2.)a) Mining direction arrows have been added on Maps C-2 and C-3.
b) After discussing the planned operations at the site with Bill Bailey, the most likely
scenario is off-highway truck and loader teams delivering raw gravel to the surge pile
shown on the mine plan maps. Existing roads will be used when available with new
roads being added as necessary.
c) Existing roads as shown in Map C-I will remain until they need to be moved due to
gravel extraction. The roads shown in Maps C-2 and C-3 reflect the final state of roads at
the end of extraction. A road will be added through the oxbow of Area 3 to access the
conveyor surge pile. The primary crusher will be located in this area as well.
Approximately 2 acres of disturbance will occur around the surge pile and primary
crusher.
d) As stated in 2.)c, a haul road and small staging azea will be constructed in Area 3 to
facilitate the primary crusher and surge pile. Approximately 2 acres of disturbance will
occur around the surge pile and primary crusher. The worst case reclamation scenario has
been modified to reflect this change.
