<br /> <br />II A Description of the Size and Location of Each Area to Be Worked During Each <br />Phase. <br />As explained earlier, this will be a County Government operation with a floating operating area of <br />25 acres. The operation is divided into Phase I (a,b, &c) and Phase II (a&b). Phase I will be the <br />eastern deposits down and Phase II will be the western deposits. <br />III Outline the Sequence in for each Step or Phase of the Operation Will Be <br />Carried out. <br />This 149.4 acre site could have a minimum period of 30-70 years of Phase I and an additional life <br />of 30-50 years in Phase [l. Mining will occur in accordance with the Phase identification starting <br />with Phase la and proceeding in order through Phase Ifb. <br />F. Narrative Information in Conjunction with Map in Exhibit C <br />1 Nature, Depth and Thickness of the Deposit and the Thickness of <br />Overburdeu to Be Removed. <br />The aggregate deposit appears to range from 10' to 20' in depth and is of a nature to meet <br />specifications for all projects in the area to date. Overburden ranges from 0' to 5'. <br />II Nature of the Stratum Immediately Beneath Material to Be Mined. <br />The stratum beneath the aggregate deposit is the Mancos Shale Formation. It ranges form a light <br />brown silty clay to a dark gray heavy clay. It also ranges from a very weathered soil texture to a <br />massive, dense, fractured, unweathered shale. <br />G. Primary and Secondary Commodities to Be Mined and Their Intended Use <br />The primary commodity to be mined is sand and gravel for construction and building projects. <br />The secondary commodity to be mined is excess overburden soils for use in construction. <br />A.
