Use all reasonably practical steps to continue to lower cyanide levels in
the pond to the lowest reasonable achievable levels.
Status: BMG ie complying with this order.
v3. Maintain the WAD cyanide level below 15 ppm in the active tai~linge pond,
and below 10 ppm in the inactive tailings pond.
Status: This was an interim order which was complied witt}. Permit
standards are more restrictive and are being enforced.
/4. Process water monitoring shows
that the tailings pond (standing water) is in compliance wit permit
standards. However, water exiting the tailings dam under dr in system
has not reached compliance levels. This water ie treated wi h hydrogen
peroxide to meet permit standards in the collection pond. e
February 1993 report stated that the pond water has reached ompliance
levels.
