CO 60467
Phone 13031879-3800
s~
MAR 2 7 !~°~

Attached, please find three copies of the design for Twentymile's
new refuse pile. Previously, Twentymile submitted a plan for
constructing a refuse pile and this plan was reviewed and approved
by MSHA. This pile was issued ID No. 1211-CO-09-03836-01. The
attached plan will replace the previously approved one. The
proposed plan contemplates a much smaller refuse pile, 3 million
yards, versus the approved 20 million yard pile. Also, this pile
will be constructed utilizing conventional construction techniques,
which will see the pile constructed in two foot lifts.
The pile will be reclaimed as per the plans and will blend in with
the surrounding topography. The face of the pile will be topsoiled
and revegetated with selected grasses. An application will be
submitted to the State of Colorado, Division of Minerals and
Geology seeking approval for this pile.
During review of the plans, please contact me if there are any
questions concerning the construction or reclamation of the pile.
Sincerely,
~~/~:
Richard Mills
Manager surface/Environment
attachments
UNDERGROUND MINE FlLE
DAiE F1YD. ~/~ ~ S~
INITIAIS
[lle:c:\vp51\pereC95\r~t pll.~ee
