A fraction of an <br /> acre shall be considered a full acre for the purpose of computing the fee. <br /> In addition, a supplemental surety, as determined by the P.oard, for any <br /> additional acreage shall be submitted. If the area of the original applica- <br /> tion is reduced , the amount of the surety , as determined by the Board , shall <br /> proportionately be reduced. Applications for amendment of a permit shall be <br /> reviewed by the board in the same manner as applications for new permits. <br /> 1 .9 Technical Revision <br /> Technical revisions to permits are acceptable. A technical revision is <br /> defined as : A CHALICE IN THE PERMIT UHICH DOES NOT HAVE, it) THE JUDf,MFNT <br /> OF THE BOARD; MORE THAN A MINOR EFFECT ON RECLAMATION. The total disturbance <br /> for technical revisions shall not exceed the amount .of area bonded for that <br /> disturbance. <br /> Prior to implementation of any proposed revision , technical revisions must <br /> be submitted in writino to the Division. The Division will place that <br /> request on the agenda of the next regular Board meeting. The Board , in its <br /> discretion , shall determine if an amendment must be filed. <br /> To avoid the necessity of frequent technical revisions , operators are urged <br /> in the submission of their application , to allow flexibility in the <br /> methodology of the mining operation such as , but not limited to: <br /> (a) Designating corridors for transportation and utilities and/or citings <br /> for facilities and buildings ; <br /> (b) Describing the equipment as generally appropriate for the function <br /> rather than mentioning specific equipment : and <br /> (c) Giving ranges of anticipated depth of topsoil removal and replacement. <br /> ®109 1 . 10 Conversions <br /> 1 . 101 Definitions <br /> A conversion is an application for a 1976 permit which is filed by <br /> an operator with : <br /> (a) A 1973 Act permit any time after July I . 1976, but prior <br /> to ninety (90) days before the expiration of the 1973 Act permit : or <br /> (b) A 1976 Act Rule 3 permit which he has held for at least two <br /> consecutive years, and who wishes to expand the operation <br /> 1 . 102 Conversion Fees <br /> There will be a basic fee of $50, plus : <br /> $15.00 per acre for the first 50 acres : <br /> $10.00 per acre for the second 50 acres - and <br /> S 5.00 per acre for the third 59 acres , <br /> up to a maximum of: <br /> - Il - <br />
