Any areas with roadway gradient in exccss of 12%, er soft ercas which exhibit <br />rutting in exccss of 6 inches, shall have 3 inch minus crushed rock applied insufficient <br />depth to stabilize the nttting, 'the surface of the road shall be maintained to minimize <br />ruts and provide far sheet drainage across the roadway. <br />i. The road surface width will not exceed 14 feet except in locations which <br />require curve widening. These locations must be identified on the ground and approved <br />by the District Ranger. <br />j, The W est Flatiron recess road will be gated and closed to public use in full- <br />sized vehicles for the duration of the project, including MCC monitoring. If drilling operations continue past current seasonal closures on FDR 711 mtd 7I 13B, <br />MCC will be responsible for erecting n temporary closure device to preveut public access <br />on rite road. This closure mast meet the requirements of the Manual of Unifomt Traffic <br />Control DCY1CCS (MUTCD). <br />6. When access is no longer needed, the Forest Service shall approve permanent closure <br />devices and road disposition. All drainage stntcnuLS shall be maintained and approved <br />prior to closure of the route. All disturbed areas shall be seeded with an approved seed <br />mixture. <br />7. Disposal of sewage and trash will be at as authorized dump sits off rite Forest. A <br />portable toilet systr;ar must be provided for personnel working on the drill sitar. <br />8. Any spills of Cuels, oil and other contaminants must be reported to the Forest Service <br />immediately. Immediate clean up will be required. Any contaminated soil will be <br />removed from the ForcSt. <br />9. Approved spark arrestors will be required on all internal combustion equipment used <br />opt the project. <br />10. Reclamation will be achieved by selectively stockpiling topsoil and other excavated <br />materials so that they may be placed back on the site, topsoil last. The land surface will <br />be rehrrned to approximate original contour, and seeded with the following seed mix: <br />Mountain Brome S #/acre <br />Pndriejunegrass 4#lacre <br />Slertrler wheatgrass 4 #lacze <br />Blucbunch grass 4 #/acre <br />Sa~idburg bluegrass 4 #/acre <br />21 1r`lacre <br />The seed mix muss be 99% port live seed. Any straw/hay mulch used on the Forest must <br />be certified as weed hee. <br />10 <br />
