The revision is requesting that the Division allow retention of
the Middle Creek Shop/Office building and pazking azea and the elimination of
the shrub standazd as part of the revegetation success criteria. Each will be
discussed below.
In reference to retention of the building and parking area, it is CYCC's
contention that this building and area can be used to facilitate the postmining
land use. A ranching operation requires both shop and administrative areas to
conduct its business. The building certainly satisfies this requirement. The
building and parking occupy approximately 2 acres on the Middle Creek/Foidel
Creek alluvial valley floor. However, this area is not significant to the ranching
operation it terms oC lost productivity. This area represents less than 2% of this
specific alluvial valley floor.
Once the revision is approved the bond will be decreased to reflect the actual
amount that is required for maintenance of the property until final bond
release. Using the 1994 bond calculations it appears that the bond will be
$57,600 when the revision is approved. This amount was arrived by deducting
the following and revising the indirect costs accordingly.
Credit
regrade facilities $309
respread topsoil $9267
structure demolition $204,544
seeding $507
Based upon the direct costs for reclaiming the site is $43,728. The indirect cost
associated with the reclamation work is as follows:
