This TR request includes the connection
and operation of askid-mounted set of five (5) cazbon columns and barren solution tank in order
to temporarily increase the flow of pregnant solution being treated by carbon recovery at the
ADR.. Attached is an arrangement drawing of the skid which is currently being refurbished by
Scotia, Inc. at their Sal[ Lake City facility. Each cazbon column is approximately 6-feet in
diameter and 9 feet tall, each capable of hold 1-1.25 tons of activated cazbon. The skid will be
delivered by truck and located along the northwest comer of the ADR plant within the primary
Phase 1 liner area. CC&V has confirmed by survey that the proposed location is within the
certified primary liner azea as shown in the attached drawing, which reports directly to the Phase
1 PSSA. The proposed location and it's relation to the Phase 1 liner system is shown on the
attached drawing. This azea will be filled to level and a berm with synthetic liner will be
constructed along the west perimeter of the mobilization azea to direct any unanticipated seepage
from the columns into the Phase 1 liner area.
RECEIVED
~Ul. 0 2 2001
.~Divisi0n of Re51am€~~,cn,
Mlninp end gatety
