Memo - Morrison, Routten - 2 - October 16, 1991 <br />5. The small area exemptions information aaequacy is outlined below: <br />a. Substation A - The runoff and acreage values are reasonable. Since <br />the area is gravel covered ar.d/or concrete, it is reasonable to <br />expect that the area will not contribute additional solids to <br />offsite areas. NPDES standards, if they wera applicable, would not <br />be jeopardized, nor wcu'd any receiving stream standards be <br />effected. <br />b. Substation B - same as aoove. <br />c. Overland Conveyor - The operator is relying on total containment of <br />the expected runoff. Acreage and runoff numbers are reasonable. <br />The operator should specify berm height, and anticipated water <br />depth for the 10 year, 24 hour storm. <br />d. Overland Conveyor - .acreage and runoff numbers are reasonable. <br />This plan should be aaeeuate. <br />e. Powder and Cap Magazine - This facture does not appear on Mao 38 as <br />indicated on Table 2.05.3 M. Also, the description on Page 171a is <br />not adequate to ensure compliance with Rule 4.05.?(3). The <br />operator should specify whether the magazine fringes are gravel <br />covered, totally containee, or otherwise controlled. <br />f. Cameo Storage Yard - This area is not clearly delineated on <br />Exhibit BB. The gravel and straw dike features Should also be <br />shown. the sta~,a dike must be trenched and maintained at all times. <br />g. CRDA No. 1 - The acreage and runoff numbers are reasonable. The <br />operator should specify berm height. Please note that <br />0.023 acre-feet of water within a 30' x 50' bermed area will be <br />about 8 inches deep, not one inch as indicated by the operator. <br />Also, this area must be designated on Exhibit 98. <br />h. CRDA No. 1 - Topsoil Pile - The acreage and runoff values are <br />reasonable. The calculated 0.009 acre-feet will be contained if <br />the ditch is relatively level around the pile. <br />i. Overland Conveyor <br />Acreage and runoff <br />be specified. <br />j. Unit Train Loadout <br />Exhibit map. Berm <br />storage depth. <br />k.
