It ie forming on gently sloping to eloping <br />uplands In a loess deposit overlying sandstone. <br />The very dark brown loam surface layer is about B inches thlck. It has <br />fine, granular utructure. A layur of loam obuut 5 incliea tlilck wiJcrllea <br />the surface layer and 1e transitional [o the B2 or subsoil. The B2 horizon <br />is dark Krayish brown loam with weak subangular blocky structure.
