Adequacy Letter - TR 65
September 17, 1993
Page 7
The Division would request that the estimate identify the
location of the culvert, and not only a cumulative length for
each culvert size. If MCC should revise the location or size,
and/or add culverts, the change should be included in the
estimate and marked on the appropriate drawings.
5. With the exception of the light-use road around MB-2R, road
reclamation cannot be included as part of pond earthwork.
Reclamation for the light-use road at the base of the refuse
pile, the relocated and new access roads will be estimated as
separate tasks. The task sheets for road reclamation are
attached and are summarized as follows:
Push gravel from lower roads into MB-2R $ 796.00
Push gravel from lower roads into MB-3 $ 400.00
Rip new light-use and access roads S 269.00
TOTAL $1465.00
6. The Division has estimated there is 980 feet of guardrail that
must be removed for reclamation. Guardrail was assumed to be
along the light-use road on the south side of MB-2R, along the
relocated access road, and on the new access road to MB-3.
7. The Division believes some additional structures in task 43
can be eliminated as they have been removed or replaced. They
are as follows:
*MB-3 ditch inlet 24" CMP (Page 4) $ 425.00
(replaced with a 30" CMP)
*MB-6 discharge extension CMP (Page 4) $2164.00
(now MB-2R and discharge structure is a 48" CMP)
8. The bond liability following Technical Revision No. 64 was
$4,396,360.00 which left a surplus of $3,640.00. See
Attachment C included in a Division letter associated with
Technical Revision No. 64 dated August 27, 1993. The
liability also included removal of the office trailers.
MISCELLANEOUS PAGE CHANGES
1. The riparian buffer zone figure is not on revised page 2.05-
56. This figure should be forwarded to the Division.
2. Table 9 in Exhibit 51 should be changed to reflect that 1.05
feet is the depth required for the south ditch during Phase
IV.
3. Why did the total acres disturbed for Phase IV on Table 11 of
Exhibit 51 increase from 23.6 to 32.17 acres?
