In 1993.the Division of water . <br />resources request that Albert Frei apd Sons, Inc. (A.F.S.) <br />provide the Division additional information to complete the TSSP <br />for this mine. In the plan submitted the proposal was to dewater <br />the mine so only a minimal amount of water would need to be <br />obtained during dewatering. At that time they requested addi- <br />tional time to find water to use as make up. Unfortunately they <br />dropped the ball and this permit got lost with time. <br />The following text represents a revision to the plan and <br />addresses the information requested at that time. A number of . <br />changes have take place since 1993, the largest is that the <br />Denver Writer Board (DWB) and South Adams County Water and Sanita- <br />tion District (SACWS) have acquired the property and plan to make <br />a water storage reservoir of it. To do this the pit is now <br />dewatered so there is little ground watei exposed. Since the <br />mine is dewatered it is our understanding that DWB or SACWS will <br />install a liner around mined area whenm.ining is complete. <br />In the original Bishop-Brogden A$sociates,.Inc.,.report a <br />simple method of calculating net lake depletions, using the <br />methods approved by the Division at that time. Historically this <br />area was used as irrigated corp ground but no dry-up credit was <br />applied to the site, only the, 70$ native vegetation credit was <br />
