Quartz is sometimes seen as vein or open space filling and often associated <br />with fluorite. <br />E. Sulphates are an indication of hydrothermal alteration and occur in open <br />spaces in the rock. Celestite and Barite are the most common in the district. <br />ViI. % Fe or Mn OXIDES <br />A. iron and or manganese oxides often are associated with higher grade intervals. <br />They also tend to occur along fractures or sheeted zones. <br />VIII. STRUCTURE <br />A. Indications of structures can be noted from the chips. Strongly oxidized <br />intervals, intervals with anomalous amounts of clay, and intervals showing <br />some type of shearing indicate the possibilities of structures and should be <br />noted. <br />B. The intensity of the fractures and any interpretations (ie. sheeted zone, fault) <br />should be noted in the structure column and a graphic display that represents <br />• the intensity in the graphics column. <br />IX. MINERALIZATION <br />A. The mineralization graphics column should be used to graphically represent <br />the style and intensity of mineralization. The mineralization column should <br />include a written description of the style of mineralization (ie. disseminated <br />very fine grained pyrite, pyrite veinlets, etc.). <br />\. FILES <br />A. A copy of the completed log should be given to the project geologist and the <br />original given [n Brenda \Volfe to be input into the data base. <br />B. The chip trays should be kept available ttn[il the data is plotted in case the <br />project geologist has any questions and then i[ should be stored with the other <br />chip trays, currently in the Coblentz building. <br />CORE DRILLING AND LOGGING <br />Geologic logging of cure provides a variety of valuable information for both <br />Exploration and Operat„~n. Due to the high cost of core it is imperative we extract the best <br />• information possible front the material we have to work with. The cure provides cri[ical <br />geologic, assay, ore type, geotechnical and metallurgical data for the project area. <br />
