EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN
The scope of this project limits mining production
(including the removal of overburden) to a maximum of 70,000
tons per year. Theoretical mineral reserves for this area
indicate mining could occur to a depth of about 50 feet. This
means that the annual surface disturbance may be limited to an
area approximately 150 feet by 150 feet or to an area of
22,500 square feet. Based on these numbers, and the space
requirements for operating the mining equipment, reclamation of
the area is not feasible for several years.
Once the production area has been mined out, and
sufficient working area is available, backfilling will begin.
Stockpiled tailings will be transported to the reclamation site
and sloped and graded similar to the original surface contour.
Stockpiled topsoil will be spread over the base material to a
depth of approximately 6 inches. Quantities of topsoil will
be supplemented with purchased material if necessary.
Revegetation will consist of seeding the area in
early spring with an appropriate grass seed mixture. A typi-
cal mix will consist of 308 Smooth Brome Grass, 308 Western
Wheat Grass, 258 Orchard Grass, 108 Alsike Clover and
58 Timothy. Substitutions may be made if this mix is not
available. Grass seed application rates will be 25 pounds
per acre. In areas that are now forested and where mining
disturbs the trees, new seedlings will also be planted.
