_~ Page 2
Revegetation - After construction of the drainage corrective device
next May 1982, the disturbed area down slope of [he old access road includ-
ing the berm construction area will be planted with grasses. After properly
scarifying and fertilizing with 20-20-0 at 100 pounds/acre, a grass mixture
known to be successful will be planted. Based on successful experience of
planting in similar areas in June 1981 ,•a seed mix has been selected by
John Ericson from Mile High Seed in Grand Junction.
That mix consists of:
grain rye 15-20%
mountain brome
western wheat grass
slender wheat grass
cicer milkvepth
stream bank wheat grass
Russian wild rye
Although not native, Mr. Ericson feels the Russian wild rye is important
in the mix to ensure success.
In the berm construction area, small teraces will be left to aid vegetation
success.
Sincerely,
BLUE RIBBON COAL COMPANY
By: Western Associated Coal Corp.
(A General Partner)
BY ~ ~J~+ l~Kl0.r-- J • ~~
William S.
