Exhibit D
1
• MINING PLAN
The mine area as presently located within the Maverick
Placer has been subject to mining/quarry operations since
1950. Mining operations have occurred on an intermittent-
mineral demand basis. Today the gypsum and associated
minerals are extracted and removed on an irregular basis and
in Varying amounts.
The mining has occurred where the mineral has been in
contact (exposed) with the surface within the natural basin
area as shown on Exhibit "C"
At this present time, the mineral is being mined
intermittently and will be mined on the 4 seperate levels
within the quarry area as shown on Exhibit "C".
• Conventional open pit mining methods are being and will
continue to be employed in the operation. The mineral is
drilled, blasted and removed utilizing pneumatic track-drill
equipment for drilling, and dozers, front end loaders and
trucks for removal of the material.
Overburden and top-soil stock pile areas have been created
at the positions shown on Exhibit "C" during the last four years.
These stockpile areas wi17 be leveled and contoured and are
situated where they will not be subject to wind and water erosion.

"CONFTDENTIAL" Due to the confining topographic configuration

of the mine site, mineable mineral reserves within the present
major disturbance zone is estimated at 1,300,000 yards.
D-1
