The estimated volume of material that will be moved by phase is: Phase I: 8,500 bank cubic yards, Phase II: 5,300 bank cubic yards. Total Volume: 13,800 bank cubic yards. The attached Table 1 presents the mass balance for the regrading work and is based on the current topographic map Exhibit 17 and cross sections, Exhibit 18, Sheets 1-3, developed from the topo map and soil testing in the disturbed area. The current topographic map is developed from a survey performed during September 1995 and updates the status of the disturbed area. The cross sections show the current and pre mining as well as the proposed post mining topography. The pre mining topography occurs in the undisturbed portions of the cross sections. The post mining contours are based on a field inspection and a slope stability analysis performed by Lincoln DeVore. The following soil samples were collected for this study: two bulk samples in 5 gal buckets, three split spoon samples and thirteen moisture samples. The study indicated that the undisturbed slopes were expected to be stable with factors of safety in excess of 1.3. The study also recommended that the coaUrefuse on the tipple bench out slope and the concrete be buried on the toe of the bench cut slopes. A copy of this study is attached as Appendix 1 [o this Technical Revision application. The post mining topographic map is presented in Exhibit 19, The following equipment is expected to be used to establish the post mining topography: Bulldozer D-6 or larger Front End Loader Hydraulic Excavator The fill material will be placed in two foot lifts and compacted by mobile equipment, i.e. either a bulldozer or front end loader. The estimated reclamation task duration is: Task Description Duration 1. Remove of contents of buildings 6-8 weeks 2. Removal of buildings and other facilities 6-8 weeks 3. Backfill portals and benches 4-6 weeks
