Long
Division Director
Listed below are adequacy review comments pertaining to the
Addendum to the above-captioned permit application. Your response
to the following adequacy review concerns should be submitted to
the Division by January 22, 1994.
EXHIBIT D - Mining Plan
1. A portion of the future phase 5 haul road is located outside the
amendment boundary. Please revise Exhibit C to include this haul
road within the permit boundary.
2. Phases of Mining Plan - The applicant states that Phase 4 may
not be disturbed and Phase 5 requires a drilling program before a
detailed mining plan can be established. A financial warranty
cannot be calculated for these phases without more definitive
mining and reclamation plans. Thus, the financial warranty will
only be calculated for Phases 1, 2 and 3. Pursuant to C.R.5.34-32-
? the operator is required to submit to the Division mining
methods, erosion control methods and a timetable that establishes
the relationship between mining and reclamation in the ph~lses. We
reiterate that if this information cannot be provided at ttlis time,
the applicant will be required to submit an amendment to ttte permit
before mining is initiated in phases 4 and 5.
OF'~~(O
~~ 4
„~;
. ~Q~
•~/8'!6~
Surface Runoff Control And Offsite Erosion - The Division
