Page 2
March 22, 199G
Snyder Corrective Actions
Fred Banta
Culverts HRQ and HR5 have been installed as of this date.
By March 23 or March 26 at the latest, the remaining
culverts will be installed. There still needs to be some
work done on the inlets and outlets, but at least the pipe
is in.
After completion of the culvert installations, Disturbance
Areas #2, #3, and #4 will be corrected. This should be done
by early April. Topsoil will then be applied to sll four
areas at the same time and immediately seeded. Thus, by
mid-April ell the disturbance areas along the road shoul3 be
just entering the revegetation stage.
The trees were ordered last winter and are scheduled to
arrive on April 11 and 12. These will be planted in the
third to last week of April.
We still have not received a review of the silt basin plain
from John Doerfer or Dan Hernandez. This is of consideratble
concern to us. We provided a 60 day lead time so your s1;aff
could review the plans and any questions answered prior i;o
construction in early April. We expected to have a review
by early March, but here it is almost April 1 and John
Doerfer hasn't even looked at it, according to my
understanding from Dan Hernandez. We wish to point out i.hat
this sediment basin is a vital part of the whole corrective
action plan. If it is not installed before May we could
suffer severe erosion damages on Disturbance Area #1.
I will be gone from March
send any communications on
Morgan at Castle Concrete.
the appropriate parties.
26 through April 8. Therefore,
this matter directly to Gordon.
Gordon can then pass it on tc
Thank you.
Respectfully,
~~~~ ~~
Mark A.
